Our 4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July! We braved the crowds at the beach and then had a mini BBQ with friends. We love this relaxed and fun holiday!

One of Darrin's Father's Day gifts this year was a skim boarding lesson with a professional. Skim boarding is big in Laguna Beach and has always looked fun to Darrin so he tried it out on the 4th of July.

For those who don't know what it is... its a board similar to a surf board but smaller. You run, throw the board onto the water/sand and then jump on it and skim the waves as they are breaking on shore. It is much more difficult than it looks but Darrin said it was fun!

Benny said he wanted to lay out so he did then he started crying and covered his eyes saying "too bright." Too cute!
