The Ice Cream Dude

Last weekend the kids had their first encounter with the ice cream man or dude as we call him.

We hear him often but it is always before dinner so we opt out. This time we chose to run all around until we found him. The ice cream dude usually stays in the housing neighborhood across the street from us but this time he came into our condo complex.
It was the most shadiest looking ice cream dude I have ever seen but he did have the music and professionally wrapped ice cream bars. Here we are picking out our ice cream of choice.

More neighbor hood kids joined in on the ice cream fun as well. We are trying to get a picture of all of us together with the ice cream dude but apparently the other kids running up to the truck were more fun to look at!

Kaylee is thoroughly enjoying her ice cream as you can tell. She is also really enjoying her favorite dog Puffy. She belongs to Grandpa Johnny who came down last weekend for a late Christmas celebration. Kaylee loves Puffy sooooo much and Puffy is usually content sitting right in Kaylee's lap the whole time!

Benny enjoying his ice cream bar as well. His newest phrase... "I DO! I DO!" when asked if he wants anything sweet. This was a definite "I DO!" moment.

Benny got a really fun baseball toy. It is kind of like tee ball except the ball hangs instead. Here is Daddy showing Benny how its done.

Now Benny's try. Daddy needs to work on his form but pretty good for a first try. In all actuality he is deathly afraid of this toy! It plays baseball music and the balls are loaded up mechanically so is scares the daylights out of him. He is much more content running after balls and playing in the outfield for now!

He is trying to take the ball off here since it didn't fall off after he tried with the bat. So cute.

Kaylee got an Easel. It is a big hit with both of the kids and has come in handy as a teaching tool as well.

The kids absolutely love this and play with it every day! One problem has occurred though, Benny has now started writing on our walls... something Kaylee never did! Boys! Daddy just freshly painted the walls and then this little boy starts writing on them! Ugh! Within a couple of days he learned that was not acceptable and hasn't done it again. Praise God!

Cute Puffy!
