Last Saturday a bird flew into our house! It was quite eventful for the kids. Kaylee yelled to me "Mommy a bird is in our house!" So I went to see what she was talking about as I thought she may have been playing pretend and sure enough... a live bird flew
in front of me to a little window.

Darrin was trying to get him down and then Mr. Bird decided that our couch looked like a nice place to relax! Actually he kept flying into the wall behind the couch because he was scared. Eventually he hurt himself and couldn't fly anymore and so he plopped down on the couch.

We grabbed a shoe box and scooped him up.
Immediately after that he decided to go potty in the box! Great timing! At least it wasn't on my couch!

We set him on a bush outside and he stayed there for quite a while. Kaylee thought he needed some food and water so we brought him a little water in a small cup but he got scared of it and hopped to the other side of the bush.

This is the last picture of Mr. Bird. A neighbor walked right past him as we were hunting for some bird seed we had around the house. The neighbor must have really scared the poor daylights out of him because this injured and
immobile little guy got the strength to fly away! Kaylee was very sad. In fact she was bawling her eyes out because she didn't get a chance to give him his food! While it was very sweet of her to want to feed him we quickly tried to explain that God healed him super quick and we should be happy for him now that he is able to fly again. A few minutes of talking helped calm her down. We ended up putting some bread crumbs on the grass for Mr. Bird should he come back here and be hungry. That made her feel a lot better!
