Happy New Year! 2008!

Wow! 2007 flew by, didn't it? Some highs and lows for us last year were ...

• Benjamin Looney Smith's (Darrin's dad) 90th Birthday family reunion
• Benjamin Edward Smith (named after Papa) was born on 2/5/07
• Our children meeting Grandpa Dane, Aunt Erica and cousin Leilani for the first time
• Kaylee's potty trained, sleeping in a big girl bed and very independent
• Benny's milestones... sleeping through the night, eating solid foods, sitting up, rolling etc.
• Darrin's surprise birthday party
• Monique's sinus surgery
• Kaylee's 3rd birthday party
• Visits from Grandma and Papa
• working in the nursery at church
• teaching toddlers at church
• Darrin's book table ministry at church
• Developing stronger relationship's with friends at church
• The loss of baby Abigail
• A fantastic Christmas! (see previous posts for a pictorial recap)

Through it all, the ups and downs, our great God is beyond faithful! We have been so blessed by our Lord and want to give Him all the glory! We do not know what His plans are for us this next year however it is our desire to trust and obey Him and He will make our 2008 year path straight! Proverbs 3:5-6 If I had to sum up in one word the thoughts that run in my head about God as I reflect on 2007 it would be Sustainer! Psalm 55:22 What is yours? Post your comments!
